PADI Mermaid Certification

Mermaid Dream School offers professional PADI Mermaid certification classes designed for beginners through advanced mermaids. Students learn essential water safety skills, underwater techniques, dolphin kicking, breath control, and mermaid swimming while building confidence in the water. Our PADI Mermaid programs combine fantasy, fitness, and professional aquatic training in a safe, supportive, and magical environment.

  • The PADI Basic Mermaid course at Mermaid Dream School combines supporting knowledge, safety principles, and confined water skill development to introduce students to the exciting world of mermaid diving. Students learn about mermaid diving history and culture, essential water safety considerations, mermaid equipment, and foundational underwater swimming skills.

    Participants must be able to swim at least 25 meters (82 feet) and comfortably float at the surface for a minimum of 3 minutes. This is a one-day course that includes a 2-hour confined water session along with independent online e-learning that must be completed prior to class.

  • The PADI Mermaid course at Mermaid Dream School includes knowledge development and at least two in-water skill sessions designed to build dynamic mermaid abilities beyond the Basic Mermaid level. Students learn advanced underwater techniques, graceful movements, breath control, and expressive mermaid skills that make mermaiding a unique underwater art form.

    The PADI Mermaid course already includes the Basic Mermaid curriculum, so students can begin directly with the full PADI Mermaid certification without taking Basic Mermaid separately.

    Participants must be able to swim at least 50 meters (164 feet) and comfortably float at the surface for at least 5 minutes. This course includes approximately 4 hours of training along with independent online e-learning that must be completed prior to class. text goes here

  • The PADI Advanced Mermaid course at Mermaid Dream School allows students to build upon their PADI Mermaid certification while exploring the exciting world of open water mermaiding. This course introduces the differences between confined water and open water environments while teaching essential open water mermaid techniques, safety practices, and environmental awareness.

    Students will also learn about aquatic life, including what to expect in natural environments, how marine life interactions can affect divers, and how to safely and respectfully avoid harm to themselves and underwater ecosystems.

    To enroll in the PADI Advanced Mermaid course, participants must be at least 12 years old and hold a PADI Mermaid certification or a qualifying certification from another recognized mermaid organization. Students must also be able to swim at least 100 meters (320 feet) without swim aids, float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 minutes, and be in good physical health. text goes here

  • Take your mermaiding to the next level with Mermaid Dream School’s Mermaid Performance Class, designed for aspiring professional mermaids who want to learn how to swim gracefully underwater and perform with confidence.

    This specialized class focuses on underwater movement, breath control, fluid transitions, posing, choreography, and performance techniques used by professional aquarium mermaids. Students will learn how to create elegant underwater motions while building stamina, confidence, and stage presence both in and out of the water.

    The Mermaid Performance Class is designed to help prepare students for professional aquarium work, underwater productions, tank performances, live entertainment, and media appearances. Training includes underwater communication, safety awareness, audience interaction, and techniques used during aquarium and tank performances.

    Students will gain hands-on experience developing the skills needed to perform beautifully and safely in professional mermaid environments while learning the artistry behind underwater entertainment.

  • Discover how to create your own magical mermaid transformation with Mermaid Dream School’s Mermaid Makeup & Character Styling Class. This creative class teaches students how to design, build, and wear a complete mermaid look that matches their personality, performance style, and underwater character.

    Students will learn how to choose a mermaid theme, select colors, and design a cohesive look that works both in and out of the water. The class covers mermaid makeup techniques, including waterproof application, face and body design, shimmer and scale effects, and long-lasting performance-ready styling.

    You’ll also learn how to match your makeup to your mermaid tail, accessories, and performance style so your entire look feels unified and camera-ready for events, photoshoots, aquariums, and live performances. This class is perfect for aspiring mermaids, performers, and anyone wanting to bring their mermaid identity to life.

    By the end of the class, students will understand how to confidently create and present their own mermaid character, from fantasy-inspired looks to professional performance styling.
